When seconds are left between
Life and eternity — hold on!
Having parted with carelessness,
Pray to Saint Barbara to go on.

An intercessor for all who may ask,
Preventing sudden death, she confers life.
Helping sinful souls and being so grand
She fulfills God's strict command.

The legend was awful — a true tale of horror:
In the tower, the father imprisoned his daughter.
He was very cruel to beautiful Barb,
He brutally punished and beat her off mind.

Barbara was a staunch Christian,
Her father was pagan and wild!
The girl fled to the mountains,
Violent people were chasing her hard.

Just of a sudden the mountain parted to save
Barbara from the imminent terrible end.
Since then, miners are protected and safe,
She is secretly praying for us and for them.

Saint Barbara’s kindness, mercy, and grace
Light the right path in everyone’s fate.
Let’s bow our thanks to her for this and for that!
Her beauty is omnipotent and godlike!

Elsewhere in the world Varvara
Is a cognate of Barbara, and from then on,
She is revered for a reason as Sacred.
Her deeds have been known for long.

And a Barbie doll was designed once
As pretty Saint Barbara’s image for us.
Hardly you knew about the facts.
The path to Faith can contain snags.
