The soft power that has been saving the world

DEDICATION TO YURI VIZBOR

Music A. M. Talkovsky Lyrics P. V. Vegin Performing A. M. Talkovsky Translation Em Rostverg

Leaving, I’ll leave the light
In the room dilapidated,
And despite of all the bans
Linked to safety requirements.
And despite of all the bans…
And despite of all the bans…
And despite of all the bans
Linked to safety requirements.

You won’t get insurances for love —
And it’s inconvenient, my darlings,
But when leaving, leave the light
In those, with whom you are to part!
But when leaving, leave the light…
But when leaving, leave the light…
But when leaving, leave the light
In those, with whom you are to part!

It’s a pity, our death is inevitable,
But satisfaction seems achievable:
Leaving, to leave behind light —
It is more than just to stay by.
Leaving, to leave behind light…
Leaving, to leave behind light…
When leaving, leave the light
It is more than just to stay by!
